Thank you so much. I just can't see Amelia/Amy falling for someone who's a total pushover, and Rory isn't really all that timid or sappy. He's out of his depth for the first couple of episodes, especially when he feels threatened by the Doctor, but even then he stands up for himself at least a bit. That has to be in his basic makeup somewhere :D
