The movie is next week, baby!
I have become even more of a laughing stock to my friends and family as the date approaches. Do I care? Nope. I can't wait for this new movie. All the new promotion just looks fabulous, and it's getting awfully hard to wait, lol.
To pass the time, one of our local cinemas is showing all 5 previous HP movies, one showing each, over 5 days. I missed the first 2 because I didn't know about it, and if I didn't know about it I think I can safely say that their advertising on it was really bad. Still, I managed to get to PoA today and will try to see OotP in 2 days time. PoA on the big screen again was amazing. For starters, it still came attached to the original 2004 trailers, so I saw a trailer for Spiderman 2 and one for the Polar Express. It was quite adorable. Then, the sound quality was fantastic. I heard things I know I've never heard before which makes me think I should hint at the husband for a decent speaker system for our living room.
The other great thing was that it was so big. I know that's a pretty obvious observation, but even though we have a pretty big TV it just doesn't compare. I know these movies inside and out, having seen them all many many times. But it was a new experience to see it so huge. It struck me again that movies really are meant to be seen on the big screen. It's such a shame that more movies aren't re-screened because that really is the best way to appreicate them.
Now I really can't wait for OotP (my favourite of them so far) and of course HBP next week. Next freaking week!
